Here are a number of quotes from pupils of Maria's Driving School -

"Having lived in London for many years I never quite got round to learning to drive, but moving to the Wirral meant that I really needed to drive a car to get around. Maria's patience and experience gave me the confidence to gradually learn all the skills I needed to pass my test first time, at the age of 36. I don't think I could have done it without her!"
David, New Brighton

"Coordinating all these new skills was difficult, and I found the first few lessons pretty hard work, but Maria's patient understanding helped get me through them."
Sandra, Heswall

"Hi any learner drivers out there, if your looking to pass give Maria Salter a ring. I have just passed with Maria after 5 months and 40 lessons. What can I say....Maria was the best thing that happened to me, she gave me the confidence and motivation to go for it!! Maria has patients when you lose your's, calms you down and encourages you when you think you can't do it, even when you don't get it right first time, I would recommend her, so give her a ring. Happy passing!!!!"
Nicky B, Moreton

"Maria as a driving instructor is very friendly, patient, considerate and understanding. Maria knows different people need different teaching techniques. I went through them all. Maria helped in many ways, mainly the most important was my confidence as a driver. As my confidence grew all the manoeuvres and driving techniques fell into place and made sense. Maria made driving a clear process. Driving is hard and difficult, however the steps were made easy to follow. When I did not understand anything Maria would go over it step by step until I did understand and put it into practice, only then, would we move on. Passing my test was hard and nerve racking, and because I was taught well It did not bother me at all when I drove on my own and overcome any senario. I want to thank Maria, I would not have done it without her."
Clair, Parkgate

"A few years ago I learnt how to drive and took a test and sadly failed. Driving then took a back seat. A few years later, a bit older and wiser, I decided to take it up again. This time I was determined to pass. After reading a few ads the one that caught my eye was Maria's Driving School. I must say that if it was not for Maria's patience I don't think I could of made it. Maria was understanding, I sometimes got so upset that I started to cry, how sad is that!!! I just want to thank her for her support and hard work, as I know I was" hard work" and I would not have the confidence I have now if it was not for her."
Angela, Heswall

"Maria is a great instructor, she is very understanding and will try to fit lessons into your life. I have a very busy schedule and Maria was happy to find a suitable time to fit me in. We had a laugh during the lessons, you can talk to Maria about anything. I was so pleased to have passed first time but sorry to leave Maria. I would happily recommend Maria to any of my friends, also you feel so good driving an Astra around. Thanks, Maria. Good luck with everything."
Chloe Kerr, Greasby

"The first time I started driving lessons I was so confused with everything I gave up. Since to use what I already newe starting driving again, I chose Maria to learn with. Maria gave me the confidence to use what I already knew from previous driving to better myself and learn from. Maria took me back to the basics and explained everything clearly and precisely. She understood my frustration and understood the ways in which I learnt. Maria was an excellent instructor, who is reliable, flexible and most importantly honest and realistic. I passed first time and since then I have already recommended one of my friends to her who will be starting lessons shortly. I would recommend anyone to learn with Maria. Thanks for all your help Maria!!!!!"
Carol, West Kirby

"I started driving lessons when I was seventeen but I couldn't get used to my driving instructor and I felt like I was getting nowhere. I hated driving. Nine years on I decided that it was time to try again, it was a case of having to, I wanted a better job and to be more independent and I knew that driving was the key! I found out about Maria's Driving School through a family member and I am so pleased I contacted her. As well as Maria making me feel at ease behind the wheel, she made me a confident and an enthusiastic driver. There were times when I wanted to give up and thought I was no good but Maria stood by me all the way. Coming up to my test I felt so nervous but Maria kept insisting that I was a good driver and she kept boosting my confidence. I thought if she has confidence in me, then I should have it in myself. There were a few tears but a lot of laughter. I just want to thank Maria for being who she is, she is an absolute star. I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks for being you and teaching me all the skills I needed to get through my test and pass it first time!"
Angie, Moreton

"I first made an attempt to get on the roads at 18 years of age. I went through two teachers, both of whom were uninspiring and, unsurprisingly, I failed my test. The whole process had been so traumatic and negative that I did not even contemplate getting behind the wheel again until 13 years later, at the age of 31. 17 months after having passed my theory test and with the expiry date looming, I started to look around for a driving instructor. Maria was recommended to me by a colleague at work. Even during our first telephone conversation, Maria was interested in me and my requirements as an individual - not just as another pupil. My lessons with Maria were personalised to meet my needs as a learner driver. I was never pushed too hard, and always felt ready to take the next step. I felt so well supported on the roads that I progressed quickly. The tuition was thorough, clear and systematic, and I was soon able to tackle any type of roador junction. Maria kept a personal assessment booklet which made it easy for both of us to track my progress and areas for improvement. Maria has a great sense of humour and a very special and rare skill for helping nervous drivers ' find ' their confidence. I passed my test first time, and now have the freedom I never thought I would have. I would recommend Maria as a teacher to anyone wishing to learn to drive, especially those who are nervous; and those who want to learn to enjoy their driving."
Lucy, Heswall

"When I turned 17 I couldn't wait to learn how to drive, and Maria was recommended to me by a close friend who passed her test first time with her. From the first lesson she instantly made me feel at ease behind the wheel, and gave me the confidence to progress with my driving. Her patience and understanding helped me to overcome any of the problems I came across. Maria is extremely hard working, and goes out of her way to ensure that you can pass your test, and more importantly you are a safe driver. I have heard some horror stories about other driving instructors and I am glad I chose the right one first time. Each lesson with Maria was interesting and fun, and I will miss her! I couldn't recommend her strongly enough."
Sara, Tranmere

"Maria is possibly one of the most patient people I have met. Her teaching skills are amazing as is her ability to make you feel competent and confident not only to pass your test but to drive. Definitely the best instructor ever!!! Ps her analogy on how to perform an emergency stop is hilarious make sure you ask. Thank you for all your help Maria x x "
